l was certified in CPR by the American Red Cross but it expired and am certified in first aid by the same organization, but that is due to expire in May and it was not too hard to pass the tests for that. Now I am in a first aid and CPR class and the teacher says that we will be getting certified by the American Heart Association. l just was curious.

Is it hard to get certified in first aid and CPR by the American Heart Association

Not at all. I first got certified when I was 9 or 10. It is something that you forget easily if you do not use it. I just took a class last week, but I use CPR often enough that I still remember everything.except infant CPR which I (thankfully) have never had to do. The first aid part of the class is equaly easy.

No, it is very similar. I have a Health Care Provider CPR certification from the Am. Heart Assn. You already know the material--you will do fine.

It is pretty easy so do not worry if you passed it once you will pass again

No, it is not hard. There is a class u take that lasts about 2-3 hours. They show u how to spot the signs of someone in cardiac arrest & how to administer breathing aid & chest compressions. You also learn how to use the Heartsaver AED (automatic external defibrillator). It is not a difficult course; however, u must pay attention so u will remember what to do in real life should u need to use the knowledge. There is a complete course handbook that u receive to read on ur own as a refresher.

Same material. I do not know what level of CPR you will be taking, but for lay people it is easier. The American Heart Association does not offer first aid classes. Good luck and have fun.

I have a Health Care Provider -grade BLS/ CPR certification (with the AHA logo). They sent me some information to study, I attended a morning long class, and took a test. My credit-card sized cert is good for two years - until next Jan.

No it isn't. I did it in high school. I think it was 9th grade. As far as I remember it was fun and easy. It is pretty much the same criteria used by both.

its pretty much the same I worked at a child care, and we were certified through the AHA. It was a three day class and the tests are pretty much the same, I took another class through the hospital and the test questians are very similar!! If you passed the first time I would not worry about it!!! Good luck

No, not hard at all, I got mine almost 2 years ago.I thought it was pretty poor how they did it though. It kinda makes me worried how bad a person can do and they will still pass them.Good luck!
